Just east of Kathmandu valley located on the top of the hill. The Gomba celebrates an event in one of the legendary previous lives of the historical Buddha, in which he encountered a starving tigress about to devour a small child, and moved by compassion, offered his own flesh to her - a sacrifice that helped pave the way for his eventual enlightenment. Now this place has been a big center for Buddhism. The monks, Gopba with praying noise and surroundings are the major attractions the of the Bomobouddha. The trek starts with drive to Panauti a self-sufficient existence in its own small valley, probably the best-preserved Newar town after the Bhaktpur and goes through Dhulikhel-Nagarkot then descent Shankhu another Newar village and drive to Kathmandu

Just come back from a 3 day trekking, which was my very first trek and very first time in Nepal.
I have enjoyed very very much: the friendliness of this trekking agency and the care and attentiveness of the very friendly guide-Tenzing who showed me beautiful paths and was open to listening how and where I like to walk…..
The mountain views in Chisopani and Nagarkot are really AMAZING at sunrise!!!
And the silence and fresh air up in the hills is very nourishing!
Even seen a Deer drinking some water in the Shivapuri Nature reserve!!
I really recommend this 3 days trek: Sundarijal-Chisopani-Nagarkot-Bhaktapur- for “beginners “ like me and also I very warmly recommend Holiday Mountain Trek to all travelers who wish to visit Nepal.

To all who read this and are about to start on a trek with Holiday Mountain Treks – I am toooo jealous!! I wish my trek was starting all over again. I spent 4 wonderful days in an amazing country –I once heard Nepal is the closest country to Heaven –it’s true!! We had such an amazing experience and despite the sore legs, our sprit never failed! Our guide kept us well entertained and in lively sprits!!
The places we visited, the scenery we saw and the friendliness of the people we met along our way will never be forgotten. Never have I been so impressed by country by country, it’s people and I am already planning my next visit –hopefully soon. Again heartfelt thanks to the attention help and encouragement we received.
Note: Only one problem I must mentioned the trek was too…….Short!! Next time 3 weeks
Dhanyabad!!
