
Recently introduced trail for the foreigners; the Dudhpokhari (Milky Lake) situated on the border of Lamgung, Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal is at an altitude of around (5300m) above the sea level. Legend has it that some three thousand years ago the Tamu community now Gurung community of Nepal entered this area from Tibet via Namun Bhanjang Pass and made their settlement here. Therefore this place is also known as Tamuwan. The Tamu community had their own King in the olden days; you can see remains of their Palace till now.
In the religious way, there is a strong belief that if you take a bath in this Dudhpokhari ( Milky Lake) three times then all your sins committed in this lifetime get purified. During the Janai Purnima (Sacred Thread Ceremony) thousands of pilgrimage and visitors through this place for holy worship. Hindus worship this place as a site for Holy Pilgrimage and a lot of devotees take this place as the gateway to heaven. Thus the trek to this place is experience of Culture, Nature, remote villages, people as well as it has a good geographical importance and other attractions.

Day 01: Wel-come to kathmandu 1300m
Arrive at Tribhuvan International airport in kathmandu. Meet our representative then wel-come and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu 1350m
Visit the sights of Kathmandu valley with a tour guide. You will be visiting temples, stupas, secret site, architecture and cultural things. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Besishar and futher to Kapoor Gaon. Walk to Ghale Gaon(2016m.)
Day 04: Trekking to Rabrachu (3100m.) 6 hrs. and hard walk. Over night at tented camp.
Day 05: Trekking to Thorju. (4500m.) 6 to 7hrs. and hard walk. Over night at tented camp.
Day 06: The view of the Mt. Manaslu is just magnificent. Short and easy walk to Thorju (4500m.) and over night at tented camp.
Day 07: Trek to Dudha Pokhari (5300m.) for about 3 hrs. View the Dudha Pokhari Lake and pilgrims, in the between the snow caped mountain. Explore around and over night stay at thorju. Tented camp.
Day 08: 4 hrs. Adventure walk for Namun la pass (5560m.) 1.5 hrs. continuous walk for Dafe kharka (4000m.) and overnight at Tented camp.
Day 09: Four hour jungle adventure walk for Danaque (2300m.) and further two hrs walk to Dharapani. Over night at tented camp.
Day 10: 6 hrs.Walking on the bank of the Marsyandi River viewing the amazing water falls on the way to Ghermu. Overnight at tented camp.
Day 11: 6hrs. walk to Khudi. Over night at tented camp.
Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 13: A free day for your own activites and evening njoy farewell dinner with live cultural program at one of typical Nepalese restaurant hosted by the company.
Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu / extend your holiday for other adventure activities like Himalayan white water rafting, Bunjy Jump, wild-life safari tours etc.

Tips for guides and other staffs.
Introduction and trip briefing: On our all tours, trek, expeditions and other adventures, we give a short brief about the trip in Kathmandu on the same day of your arrival and introduce your trip leader and team members. At the mean time, we provide an opportunity for individuals to ask questions if any about the trip.
A day on the trek : Day starts with warm greeting and bed tea. Then you will be offered a basin of hot water to wash and take breakfast then you are off to trek for more then 3 hours through the forests, hills, mountain and local villages. You will stop at pleasant surroundings for hot lunch for an hour. You will then walk 3 or more hours depends on the places and facilities for camping places, stop for the night camp, you will be then offered tea / coffee with some light snacks then explore the area or relax until dinner is served at the warm dining hall. Most of the evening you will be encouraged to sing and dance in a traditional way. Sometime you will spend time playing cards, reading books and learning Nepali.
Finally, go to bed served with hot water rubber bag to keep you extra warm in the cold temperature.
Accommodation: You will be staying at comfortable 2-3 star standard category hotel/resort having all modern amenities with breakfast in Kathmandu and good quality two men dom tents during the trek.
Trek staffs : Believing that every successful trips have been possible because of the team work, Holiday Mountain Treks employs experienced and trained Nepalese trek guide and other staffs.
Guide: The guide is English speaking, well experienced and knowledgeable holding license from government institutions. He is well trained about the high altitude problem, eco tourism, social responsibilities and sincerely dedicated on his duty.

Assistant Guide and Sherpa: We provide one assistant guide and one Sherpa for every 6 trekkers. Assitant guide will help group during day time walking close by to help trekkers at the difficulty situation. Sherpa will take care of the camp site by setting and saving from out sider.
They are well experience and dedicated on their duty.
Porters: Normally we use only regular porters working for the company. Our porters are fully equipped and insured having knowledge of walking on snow and high altitude passes. They are very honest, reliable, strong and of curse get good pay.
They can speak english and will be referred to take the guide training after they are well experience and confident.
Cook: Cooks have got cook training from government and private training institutions and moreover they are well experience to prepare the most delicious and different cuisines with some local way too. They will prepare best of all combination meals like Nepali, Indian, Tibetan, continental and other cuisines as per your test requirements.
Washing and toilet facilities: We provide hot or washing bowl of hot water to freshen up and to bath. We bring toilet tent and set at walking distance from your sleeping tent. No worries! We will cover it with necessary natural preservation after use of such facility.
Foods and dinks: Fresh and hygienic foods at its high level of balance diet on full board basis will be throughout the trek. An experienced and trained cook will prepare some of the best cousins like Nepali, Tibetan, Italian, Continental, and Indian.
For drinks you will get boiled water, Tea, coffee, chocolate, soups, squash and juice in different flavor etc.
Transportation: Deluxe private vehicle are provided while on city tour, airport transfers and reserved private vehicle to and from trek start/finish point.

Itinerary: Given itinerary is flexible so if needed there is often possibility on the trek to extend or shorten the walking days. In the special case if the trips is ended a week or more earlier, there will be given an optional for a short trip. Please discuss this with your trek guide and express your wishes. You will be offered the best options in any case.
