Shivapuri at an elevation 2732m. offers excellent views of the Himalayans off to the wet from Jugal and ganesh Himal out to Himalchuli and eastwards from langtang to Dorje Lapka and of course intense rhododendron blossoms in spring. It lies within the Shivapuri Watershed and wildlife reserve; a huge walled area set aside to protect the valley's water supply and critical forests. The trek starts from Budhanilkantha through the forest and the summit on the flat grassy appears on second day of the trek. Then the trek goes through the forest and superb mountain views to the north and valley rim. Finally the trek goes to Nagarkot where a night is s must to view the view the wonderful sun rise view over the himalaya in the next morning. After breakfast drive to Bhaktapur a Newari town and lunch here. After lunch drive back to kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in kathmand
Arrive in Kathmandu airport. You'll be met at the airport by our representative and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu
Visit Swoyambhunath stupa and Kathmandu Durbar square then get preparation for the trip and meet the trekking cew.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Aklebhatti: Drive an hour to Buddhanilkanta and trek to Aklebhatti through forest and villages.
Day 04: Aklebhatti – Shivapuri: trek to Shivapuri top through the forest which offers great verities of vegetation and bird watching opportunities.
Day 05: Shivapuri Top – Dhap: Trek to Dhap with great mountain to the north and and valley view down.
Day 06: Dhap – Chaukibhanjyang: Trek to Chaukibhanjyang through forest and villages.
Day 07: Chaukibhanjyang – Nagarkot: Trek through the villages and climb easy uphill to Nagarkot.
Day 08: Nagarkot - Bhaktapur – Kathmandu: Drive to Telkot and trek to Changunarayn then Bhaktapur. After lunch and sightseeing of the city, drive to kathmandu.
Day 09: Kathmandu
A free day for your own activities. Evening, enjoy a fare dinner with live cultural program hoisted by the company.
Day 10: Departure
If you have time and are interested for other adventure like white water rating, wild life safari or any other activities can extend your holiday or transfer to airport and fly back to sweet home.

To all who read this and are about to start on a trek with Holiday Mountain Treks – I am toooo jealous!! I wish my trek was starting all over again. I spent 4 wonderful days in an amazing country –I once heard Nepal is the closest country to Heaven –it’s true!! We had such an amazing experience and despite the sore legs, our sprit never failed! Our guide kept us well entertained and in lively sprits!!
The places we visited, the scenery we saw and the friendliness of the people we met along our way will never be forgotten. Never have I been so impressed by country by country, it’s people and I am already planning my next visit –hopefully soon. Again heartfelt thanks to the attention help and encouragement we received.
Note: Only one problem I must mentioned the trek was too…….Short!! Next time 3 weeks
