The Rasuwa trail - a cultural experience
Tamang Heritage trail Langtang, Rasuwa has been found one of the best trekking routs near about 120km north to Kathmandu with an unparalleled combination of nature beauty and cultural riches. It is untouched by roads; the area offers a life unfolding experience. The main inhabited here are Tamang and Sherpa, whose origin and culture remains hundreds of years back. The people, craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone houses and the beautifully craved wooden porches reflect the solitude and the serenity of the Himalayan scenery make this are a ideal model trekking destination in Nepal. Chitwan Chepang Culture heritage & Siraichuli trail
Chitwan Chepang culture heritage trail is unique because of one of the most ethnic cultures of Nepal- Chepang Culture. Chepangs, believed to be influenced by Tamangs, speak their own distinct language, leading a nomadic life and their primary lifestyle, hunting, foraging for wild roots and fishing and traditional farming near jungles. A Praja Pande (faith healer) might be an interesting figure for cultural tourists to be introduced to. They inhabit the remote and sparse contours of Makwanpur, Chitwan, Gorkha and Dhading districts. Other ethnic groups found in this region largely comprise of Tharu, Musahar, Satahar, Danuwar, Tamang, Kumal Gurung and Magar. Continue

Nar-Phu Valley trek
Recently open up to tourists has evoked little enthusiasm among the villagers whose postural lifestyle continues. Nar Phu just above the tree line on the upper limits of cultivate, in the very north of Manang district. The valley hidden by swirls of mountain mist behind kangla pass 5200m. Few foreigners have visited the area and tourism infrastructure is almost non-existent. However the Annapurna Conservation Area project recently extended its network to include Nar Phu valley and it is preparing a suitable tourism development plan. The magnificent panoramic view of Annapurna massif looks remote and forbidding. The kangla pass links Nar with Manang and other three Bhotia villages in the Nershang valley. Continue

Panch Pokhari
Fairly easy but quite high reaching trek to the sacred lakes named after 5 holy ponds and Hindus religiously respect the place. Panch Pokhari is situated northeast of kathmandu. The route follows a ridge trails most of the way, giving a fairly steady rise in altitude over a relatively short period. The Himalayan view and pristine nature and areas culture is the main attraction of the trek. The trek begins with a bus ride from kathmandu and up through the hills brings us at the trek starting point called Chautara. Continue

Dudhpokhari( Milky Lake ) & Namunla pass (5560m)
New alternative way for Annapurna region:
The Dudhpokhari (Milky Lake) situated on the border of Lamgung, Manang and Kaski districts of Nepal is at an altitude of around (5300m) above the sea level. Legend has it that some three thousand years ago the Tamu community now Gurung community of Nepal entered this area from Tibet via Namun Bhanjang Pass and made their settlement here. Therefore this place is also known as Tamuwan. The Tamu community had their own King in the olden days; you can see remains of their Palace till now. Continue
