Honestly, we were not sure how to start a trip to Tibet. Then we asked to few travel company in Katmandu for organizing our Tibet tour. There were few options but we decided to book our tour through Holiday Mountain agency in Kathmandu. From the beginning they were quick, clear and professional. We got to Kathmandu and most of work was done. Actually we did not have to do anything. We then started our adventure journey to Tibet from Kathmandu. It was magnificent driving all the way to Lhasa, we even saw Mt. Everest, Cho-Yu and other beautiful mountains. Crossed some challenging passes and River/ Lakes and visiting impressive monasteries and peoples along the way was great experience. Lhasa is beautiful city and Potala Palace on the hill is amazing. The visit of the city was wonderful. Our Tibetan guide was very good and friendly.

Just come back from Tibet. Trip was great! Everything arranged by Abir was excellent. Especially sightseeing in Lhasa was nice. Rally enjoyed the drive along the river and lake to Rombuk. Atmosphere around monastery and views are super from there and excursion to Everest Base Camp was wonderful.
I did a 31 day trip from Nepal to Tibet with Holiday Mountain Treks. We started off with a 6 day trek from Simikot to the Tibetan border, followed by the Kailash Kora, and drove to Guge, and from there, travel back to Lhasa, travelling through almost 3 quarters of the length of Tibet. It was a tough but amazing trip. I'd like to thank Mr. Malla for organising the trek for me. He went through great troubles attaching me (a single person travelling) to a group that was travelling on around the same schedule and visiting the places I wanted -- esp. the Guge Kingdom. I was well taken care of during the trip despite some hiccups which I feel come with the territory of travelling in tibet! Thank you for organising this and I look forward to doing more treks in Nepal with you, Abir!
We would recommend the Holiday Mountain Trekking company in kathmandu. The Tibet-Mt. kailash tour were very well organized, The guide, cook and Sherpa were extremely helpful, friendly, the level of customer service was very high. Manasarovar Lake is amazing and Mt. Kailash is great Holy Mountain for all pilgrimages tour. We will definitely be back! |
