Just come back from a 3 day trekking, which was my very first trek and very first time in Nepal.
To all who read this and are about to start on a trek with Holiday Mountain Treks – I am toooo jealous!! I wish my trek was starting all over again. I spent 4 wonderful days in an amazing country –I once heard Nepal is the closest country to Heaven –it’s true!! We had such an amazing experience and despite the sore legs, our sprit never failed! Our guide kept us well entertained and in lively sprits!!
That was our third trip to Nepal organized by Holiday Mountain. We really enjoyed again a very friendly atmosphere and attitude. We much appreciated a care demonstrated by our guide Robin, he always tried to do some extra service for us, which was especially pleasant in some time tough conditions. Thank you for an amazing trekking experience in Nepal. We were not sure for our successful trek with a support of great team who were always there for us as we wended our way from Ghasa to Lo-Manthang and on to Muktinath followed by Jomsom. For 40 years I read about Nepal and never imagined going as life gets busy with work and children. Then one day my cousin Jolyon said “lets go to Nepal” which for him has been a life long dream. It was a very wise choice from the agency to send us to the non-touristic and newly opened trekking route to Nar-Phu trek within 2 weeks time, we only met 2 other trekking groups. So we had a unique opportunity to meet friendly Nepalese farmers in the remote and high area of Manang. The kids seemed to enjoy our evening discussion around the camp. Everything in the group was perfect. From the grilled chicken to the pineapple biscuit at 16.00, the food was perfect. What a fantastic trip! Abir did a wonderful job organizing our trek. He selected an excellent guide Chandra and a great porter Sontos. Chandra was extremely supportive knowledgeable and caring throughout our trek, we were able to design our trip with thoughtful input from Abir the managing Director. The trek offers a lot of variety. You pass from desertic landscape to nice plant / jungle, villages and friendly peoples. We enjoyed our trek from Muktinath to Ghorepani with Annpurna base camp between. Our interest was to climb two peaks in the Rolwaling but had some problems with the weather on one peak and acclimatization on the other. We were quite happy and could not expect more with Holiday Mountain Treks, they organized the trip well and their price was great. Our guide was energetic and good with the group. The food was great. The cook made the best food with different test everyday. As well our porters were extremely hardworking and always cheerful. We will come back to climb again some mountains in this beautiful country and will definitely use the Holiday Mountain Treks. We will also highly recommend this agency to all our friends in Europe. We thank you Abir and all for making our first trip to Nepal more pleasant and fulfilling than we expected. The trek around Annapurna was a lifetime experience and guide Limbu and team were always helpful, cheerful and helped us get the most out of our trek, saving us from trouble and potential dangers. They also helped us to come closer to Nepali people, their customs and mentality. The visit to Chitwan Jungle was exciting and the contact with the wild animals was unforgettable. The rafting trip in Kaligandaki was excellent too in overall. It was challenging specially the first few days. Every teahouse had hot shower, clean room, food was good and people were great. The weather was perfect and scenery along the way and mountain views was wonderful. Our guide Ganesh was very helpful and experienced and had binocular sight. Krishna and Saran our porters were always serving us with a smile.
We had a wonderful trek to Annapurna area. Holiday Mountain treks were great from beginning to end-from our initial and planning with Abir, to trekking with our guide Ganesh who was patient, kind, encouraging and knowledgeable …..always attentive to our well being with our porters who were strong, reliable and at the end to making our arrangements back in Kathmandu. Trekking was definitely our experience of a lifetime for me. The scenery along the way kept changing and it was very different from that back home.
