This tour normally started from friendship bridge at Kodari border and gradual up hill drive to Ghangmu where the immigration formalities are done. The tour visits all the major monasteries, temples, lakes and river along the way to Lhasa. The scenery, landscape and great views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Day 01: Kathmandu-Nyalam (3750m)-123 kms.
Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Kodari and drive uphill to Zhangmu. Complete the immigration formalities and drive further to Nyalam.
Day 02: Nyalam-Tingri (4135m)-215 kms.
An exiting drive about 7 hrs. crossing two spectacular passes (Nyalamu pass (3800m) and Lalung La pass (5082m) enjoying the fantastic view of the Mt. Everest (8848m) and other higher peaks in Tibet.
Day 03:Tingri-Xigatse (3900m)-245 kms.
Drive to Xigatse for about 6 hrs and visit Tashilunpo Monastery a seat of Panchen Lama. On the way you will visit Sakya Monastery (Bonpo monastery) which is 26 kms off from the main road.
Day 04: Xigatse-Gyantse (3950m)-92 kms.
Visit the Tashilunpo Monastery and the free bazaar of Xigatse then drive 2 hrs to Gyantse where you will visit the Khumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery.
Day 05: Gyantse-Lhasa (3650m)-260 kms.
Drive to Lhasa for about 8 hrs, crossing the Karo La (5010m) and Kamba La (4794m) pass and Lake Yamdrok Tso (Turquoise Lake). After crossing the Yarlung Tsangpo river you will see the distant view of the Potala Palace.
Day 06/07: Lhasa sight seeing tour.
Two days sight-seeing tour that includes the Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Drepung & Sera monastery, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar and local markets and streets.
Day 08: Lhasa-Kathmandu trans himalayan flight.
Transfer to Gongar Airport for about 2 hrs and take 1 hr and 10 min most beautiful flights in the world providing the views of Yarlung Tsangpo river, lake Yamdruk, Kanchenjunga (8586m), Makalu (8465m) and Mt. Everest (8848m).

Our advice
Generally travelers do not need to submit any health certificate those with a history of medical problems, particularly cardiac or respiratory, should consult a doctor before deciding to undertake the trip. It is rigorous and challenging trip where all the time spent at high altitudes. At least 2 months regular practice is recommend either 2 hours daily running, swimming, or joining on a health club may help to complete the yatra very successfully. Also good to carry dry fruit , juice powder , breads, candy, canned or packed food, nuts, pickles and biscuits etc.
