Kathmandu Sightseeing and Hiking tour

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and meet our office representative then transfer to your hotel. Later in the evening, you will meet the company owner and take briefing about the tour.

After breakfast visit three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Kathmandu Durbar Square- a royal courtyard featuring ancient Newari architecture, Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) -a hilltop Stupa white-domed structure with an all-seeing Buddha's eye and painted eyebrows. Finally visit Patan Durbar Square- a marvellous courtyard that showcases Newari wood carving, stone works, and museums.

After breakfast, visit Kritipur- a Newari ethnic settlement beautiful village with twin hillock with two satellite hamlets to the south, namely Panga and Nagaon with some interesting Bag Bhairav and Chlanchu Vihar temples. Then visit Chovar famous for its gorge, said to have been cut by the god Manjushri to drain the water from the Kathmandu Valley, which was then a lake. On a hilltop, there is a small pagoda dedicated to Adinath with a superb view of snow-caped mountain peaks. Finally visit Khokana and Bungamati both Newari villages, but they are much older than Kritipur. Khokana is well known as a traditional oil production centre from ancient times to the present and Bungamati is a famous place for traditional and cultural wood carving and is an authorized village for the ancient history centre, away from the city life of the modern cities. 

Alter breakfast; visit Boudhanath one of the world’s largest stupas a major center for Tibetan Buddhism, surrounded by spinning prayer wheels and chanting Tibetan pilgrims.

Pashupatinath a revered powerful Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, on the banks of the Bagmati River, used for cremations and deep spiritual rituals.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square a well-preserved ancient Royal city holding treasures of Newar architecture, medieval courtyards with amazing wood carving palaces, temples (Nyatapola), and Pottery Square. Late afternoon; drive to Nagarkot for the stunning views of the Himalayas and enjoy sunset view.

Wake up early morning to enjoy the amazing sunrise view over the pristine Himalayan peaks. After breakfast; start trekking through the beautiful forest, small village and views of mountains and valley to the right then reach the Dhulikhel a historic hill station offering panoramic views of the Himalayan range, traditional Newari architecture and beautiful sunset view. 

After breakfast; start hiking to Namo Buddha Monastery (The Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery) a Tibetan Buddhist monastery about 14 km southeast. The hiking from here offers amazing views along the way. The Monastery lies at the top of the hill above the Tamang village and beautiful surroundings. It has grown to be the home to more than 250 monks and providing school for young monks is also part of the monastery. Here explore the sacred Namobuddha Stupa, starving tigress and her five cubs, hiking the surrounding hills, and observing Buddhist rituals. 

After breakfast; start hike down to Panauti an ancient, charming Newari town located next to well-preserved temples, including the Indreshwar Mahadev temple aside the small river. After lunch; drive back to Kathmandu. 

It is a free day for your own activities such as souvenir shopping, relax and hang around. In the evening join a farewell dinner at one of the best typical Nepali restaurant with live cultural program.

After receiving a special farewell at the hotel; transfer to airport for the onwards flight.
